We would like to notify you that Bharatha Kalaanjalii Malaysia will be hosting another grand dance show in the year 2017 with the named ‘Natyaanjali’.
Bharatha Kalaanjali Malaysia, an affiliation of Bharatha Kalaanjalii India, is an Indian performing arts academy, founded in 1974, by Mrs. Meera Venugopal, a disciple of Nritya Choodamani Dr. V.P Dhananjayan and Nritya Choodamani Smt Shanta Dhananjayan. The school has its base in Kelana Jaya. Over 30 students have graduated since the school was founded . 2012 marked the successful performance of one of our biggest show with the theme ‘SAMARPANAM”.
The academy takes pride in informing that the next show ‘Natyaanjali’ will be held in 2017. The primary objective of this show is to celebrate the beauty, meticulousness and versatility of Bharatanatyam in this time of fusion and blended contemporary dance with the fine arts. In order to complete this project, we would need your support and would be most grateful if you or your organization could support us with donations that you deem fit.
There are a total of 8 dancers taking part in this dance show. There are in total of 7 items presented within a span of 2 hours. There will be a live orchestra accompanying the dancers. The orchestra consists of the vocalist, flautist, a mridangam player, violinist and the school teacher will be doing the nattuvangam. The show will be held at the Temple of Fine Arts, Kuala Lumpur.
Proceeds from the funding obtained will be used to cover charges and costs of any of the following:

The main challenge to carry out the show is the funding. The school is run on a small scale and it is not run to gain profit. Therefore, we need assistance with the funding.

While the aim is to promote the rich art and cultural heritage of Indians among young talents, BKM has also been directing its efforts to future activities such as workshops, student exchange programs, lectures and demonstrations.
